 LIST OF PROJECTS

Mentor Program

A new initiative this fall is the Wootton Mentor Program. This program is open to new and current students looking for advice, support, and guidance on how to navigate academics, extracurriculars, clubs and general high school experiences. Mentors will be upperclassmen who have at least two years of high school experience to help their mentees.

Elections

Every year, the Wootton SGA helps out with their school's elections, ensuring that every student gets to vote and also ensuring that the outcomes are fair for all. We hold our school's class elections, SGA elections, and help gather our school's SMOB votes. This spring we will be conducting our SGA and class officer elections.

  1. Please complete this form by March 3rd to nominate yourself as a SGA/class officer candidate

  2. Candidates will need a certain amount of signatories (20 for class officer / 40 for SGA officer) in order to make it to the next step of the election process. Please collect signatories through this form by March 3rd

Executive Council

Another new initiative this year is the Wootton Executive Board. This Executive Board will ensure that all Wootton students louder voice and and direct influence over SGA's planning and events, and is dedicated to making the voices of Wootton's student body heard. This year, we are focusing on three major ideas: Diversity and Inclusivity, Evolving Greater Community, and Crisis Response and Recovery.

Spring Project

Spring project is the awareness project that SGA puts on every Spring. We choose a topic we feel the Wootton community needs to be educated on. The past three years the topics have been Every 15 Minutes (Drunk Driving), Mental Illness, and the Environment. The project for this year will be carefully chosen by your SGA and announced in the Spring, through a week long project which includes our "shock and awe" presentation, our lesson plan, and our assembly.
